Requirements

Before connecting, make sure you have all of the following:

Instagram Business or Creator account

Personal accounts cannot be connected. Switch in Instagram Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account.

Instagram Policy →

A Facebook Page linked to your Instagram

Your Instagram must be connected to a Facebook Page you manage. Go to Instagram Settings → Account → Linked Accounts → Facebook.

Admin access to the Facebook Page

You need to be an Admin (not Editor or Moderator) of the Facebook Page.

A Flowre Business plan

Instagram and Facebook automation features require the Business subscription.

Important: Connecting Instagram requires granting permissions through Facebook. This is required by Meta's platform policy — Flowre cannot access Instagram without it.

Step-by-step guide

1

Open Channel Settings

In Flowre, go to Dashboard → Channels in the left sidebar. Click “Add Channel” or “Connect” on the Instagram card.

2

Click “Connect with Facebook”

You will be redirected to Facebook’s login screen. Make sure you are logged in with the Facebook account that manages your Page.

3

Grant all required permissions

Facebook will show a permissions dialog. You must allow all permissions — including read/write access to messages, comments, and Instagram accounts. Denying any permission will prevent automation from working.

4

Select your Facebook Page

Choose the Facebook Page that is linked to your Instagram Business account. If you don’t see your page, make sure you have Admin role on that page.

5

Select your Instagram account

After selecting a page, Flowre will display the linked Instagram account. Confirm by clicking “Connect”.

6

You’re connected!

Your Instagram channel will appear in the Channels list with a status badge. You can now create automations, DM flows, and AI agents for this account.

Connecting Facebook Page at the same time

When you connect Instagram via Facebook OAuth, Flowre automatically detects the linked Facebook Page and offers to connect it as well. You can enable Facebook Messenger automation for the same page in one click — no need to go through the process twice.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see my Instagram account after connecting Facebook

Make sure your Instagram Business/Creator account is linked to your Facebook Page. Go to Instagram → Settings → Account → Linked Accounts → Facebook.

Connection fails or I see a permission error

Try disconnecting and reconnecting. On Facebook’s permissions dialog, make sure you allow ALL permissions — especially messaging and page management.

My Instagram is connected but automation is not working

Check that your Instagram account is set to Business or Creator (not Personal). Also verify the webhook is active in Channels → your Instagram channel → Settings.
